Saving threatened species, feeding people, GM organisms, curing diseases…the twenty-first century offers many challenges to a biologist. The study of Biology gives the skills and opportunities to advance human knowledge and understanding in today’s world, in order to make a difference to the world of tomorrow.
At Rougemont, the aims of the Biology department are:
- To maintain and stimulate student curiosity, interest and enjoyment in biology.
- To enable students to be familiar with a body of biological knowledge, principles and vocabulary.
- To enable students to see biology in the context of a wider body of knowledge and skills.
