Rougemont Rainbows Nursery provides a warm, secure and enriching environment in which children can lay the foundations for their exciting learning journey.

Our children benefit from state of the art facilities in a purpose-built school, including a spacious hall for P.E. and games and a dedicated music room with a specialist teacher for music and creative movement.

The Nursery offers a planned structured learning programme between 09.00 and 15.15.  There is an opportunity for children to exit Nursery at this time.  Additional child care is offered from 08.00 to 09.00 and from 15.15 to 16.00; during this time Nursery and Infant School staff supervise free play where the children make their own choice of activities. Our relaxed atmosphere is the key to promoting independence through a range of play based activities. The Nursery learning programme is centred around the Foundation Phase Outcomes, with carefully planned activities such as cooking, art and craft and sand and water play to make learning fun. These, along with a wide range of other indoor and outdoor activities, help to produce happy and confident children who are eager to explore, learn and achieve their full potential in all aspects of their development.

The Welsh Inspectorate ESTYN confirmed the success of our ethos by awarding us Grade 1 in all the Early Years Areas of Learning.

Children may join the Rainbows as soon as they are 3 years old.
