A warm welcome to Junior Eco Club
Eco Club started in March, 2005 and has grown from a small group of caring children to a flourishing team of over 40 hard-working members.
We meet every Wednesday after school at 4pm until 5pm, in all weathers. Mrs Williams, Mrs Greenaway, Mrs A Jenkins and our wonderful Eco-mums work enthusiastically with pupils on practical tasks, activities and games around the Junior school. We are responsible citizens, who care about our local community and planet Earth.
We run Eco Club 2011-12 on a rota system:
Week A Year 3 and Year 5
Week B Year 4 and Year 6
Autumn 2011 Activities
Year 3 went on a hunt for the rainbow colours of nature.
Year 4 went on an Autumn walk searching for evidence of the changing seasons.
Year 5 used their thinking skills whilst pretending to be squirrels, hiding acorns for the winter. After another activity could they return and find their acorn stores? It appears some squirrels were smarter than others!

Year 6 have worked on creative ideas to brighten up the playground with our 6th form helpers, it is a large project and their thoughts are being transferred onto a working plan.
