Junior School News

Please note that there is a password protected 'Letters Archive' facility tab, at the top of the Junior School webpage, where you can download and print recent letters sent out to you, which may have been misplaced, or mysteriously 'lost'.
You will need to log in to use this facility, using the username and password sent to you.

                                          NEWS FLASH!                                               

  Week beginning 14th May: 

  • Junior Eco Club are in need of:

     colourful buttons/old colourful wrapping paper (not Christmas)/large pots or other planting containers (clay or plastic).

Please send in to Mrs Williams, Mrs Greenaway or Mrs A Jenkins.

Eco Club - as the weather improves the children will need suitable clothes and trainers for outdoor activities. A bag with appropriate kit will be necessary on Eco Club days. 

  'Oliver' Rehearsals  

PLEASE BE AWARE THAT REHEARSALS WILL BE HELD IN THE FUNCTION ROOM, ADJACENT TO THE CAFE FOR THIS WEEK ONLY. PLEASE COLLECT CHILDREN FROM HERE AT 5.15PM.

 The following children will be needed for the ‘Oliver’ after school rehearsal on Thursday 17th May:

Fagin's Gang
Nancy
Bet 

If you cannot attend please can you let Miss Hallas, Mrs Carroll, Mr Dobbins, Mr Rowlands or Miss Cole know.

 

Forgotten Lunches Trip Slips

In the event that packed lunches are forgotten, your child needs to see Mrs Willavise or Miss Dyer, for a lunch ticket.

A reminder, that all slips for school trips must be returned to school at least two days before the trip departs.

School Vouchers Lost Property

We are currently collecting vouchers from the following retailers:

Nestle Box Top Vouchers

Morrisons 'Let's Grow' vouchers

Please encourage your child to post their vouchers independently in the collection boxes in Junior School Reception.

There are a number of items of lost property held in our store.

Please contact Mrs Willavise, or Miss Dyer at Junior School Reception, to view lost property.

Please label ALL items of clothing clearly.

Medication Absences/Late Arrivals

Please ensure you have completed a medical questionnaire for your child, which will give permission for medication to be administered by a qualified first aider, during the school day.

Any medicines brought into school, including antibiotics, should be contained in a sealed bag, to prevent spillages,with your child's name clearly marked on the medication, with signed instructions.

You can obtain a prescribed medicine form from the Letters Archive, which should come into school with any medicine.

Any medicines should be handed to Mrs Willavise or Miss Dyer at morning registration and should be collected at the end of the day.

 

If your child is absent from school, due to illness, please telephone Junior School Reception before 10am. Your child's form tutor will then be informed.

If your child has a medical appointment on a certain day, please inform your child's form tutor in writing, prior to the day.

Pupils arriving late to school MUST report to Junior School Reception, to be marked present on the register.

 

 

 

 

 

 

 

- Congratulations to the Junior Department hockey team, who were runners-up in the Welsh Activate Championships. Also, a big thank you to Mrs Williams, who coached the team.

- Well done to all the children who ran in the cross country competition and especially Gwynog, who won this year’s trophy.
