Spring term year 1 have been writing about 'characters' from a book - the theme was animals and making bookmarks.Our topic tower in the library displays their work.

Creative Reading Club will be for Reception this term. It may run on alternate weeks depending upon the number of children interested in attending.

Welcome to our  CREATIVE READING CLUB

Mrs Mountford, Mrs Ashill and Mrs Townsend have planned lots of exciting projects for this new club. 

We would be grateful to receive any children's magazines or comics.  They may encourage our more reluctant readers to join in and experience the wonder of books.

We meet every Monday at 3:15 until 4:00 in our newly decorated library.

Every Friday between 1:00 and 1:30 our Junior School monitors will be available to help children borrow and change

their library books before the weekend.

Categories:-

Red  - Easy - generally picture books.

Blue - Improvers - ideal for improving readers and great for sharing.

Green - Challenging texts - most suited for Year 2 children to read and share.

Yellow - Non-fiction books.

Yellow and Green - Poetry.
