We are very proud to report that Rougemont has been rated ‘excellent’ in almost all areas of delivery according to inspection agency Estyn, the chief education and training inspectors in Wales, in its six-year report into the school published today. Estyn marked the school with its highest judgement of ‘excellent’ in its current performance and prospects for the future, making it one of the best teaching facilities in Wales. We were also rated as ‘excellent’ in seven out of the 10 assessment criteria including standards, wellbeing, care support and guidance, learning environment, leadership, improving quality and resource management. We scored the second highest judgement of ‘good’ in the remaining three assessment areas of partnership working, teaching and learning experiences. Following the one week inspection late last year, Estyn reported that all grades have improved or remained at the same high standard since we were last inspected in 2006.…
